Asia Law Weekly
During the academic semester, we regularly hold our popular "Asia Law Weekly" lunch series which features guests in a casual atmosphere to discuss their life and career. Sometimes held multiple times a week, these informal lunches offer a unique opportunity for the NYU community to interact with leading legal scholars and professionals. To learn about these lunches and receive notifications, please sign-up for our mailing list or check our website calendar regularly during the academic school year.
Visiting Scholars Presentations
Held primarily during the spring semester, the Visiting Scholar Presentations is an opportunity for our Visiting Scholars to present the research which they have conducted during their time at the Institute. We advertise these via our mailing list, as well as through our website event calendar.
In addition to the above, USALI hosts special one-time events throughout the academic year. In the past, these have included interviews with noted legal scholars and activists, movie nights, or socials. To learn more about these events, please sign up for our mailing list.
Timothy A. Gelatt Memorial Diaologue on the Rule of Law in East Asia
Every autumn, the U.S.-Asia Law Institute hosts a special dialogue to discuss pressing legal matters and developments in Asia. With a tendancy towards international law and regional issues, this half-day or all-day event is one of the most important and largest of the Instutute.
